Mings pens new Bournemouth deal

Tyrone Mings has signed a new long-term deal with Bournemouth, according to Sky Sports.

The twenty-four year old moved to the Vitality Stadium in the summer of 2015 only to suffer a serious knee injury eleven minutes into his Premier League debut against Leicester City.

His next league outing came against the same opponents fourteen months later – his first of seven top flight outings last term when he also served a five-match ban following an incident with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Prior to his move down south the defender played sixty-three times for Ipswich Town with his one and only international goal so far coming in a 4-2 win over Birmingham City in February 2015.

Mings is the latest in a line of Cherries players to agree a new contract this summer following Steve Cook, Harry Arter, Adam Smith and Dan Gosling.
